A Rad-ical Day

I got my sewing room all cleaned up. It is all tidy and neat once again. It has been a RAD week. What that means is I have been dealing with trauma behaviors from my daughter. In the midst of that, I decided I needed some sewing therapy. Today, Sweetheart went to his mom's house, so hiding down in the sewing room was not an option. I decided not to let that stop me!I brought all I needed upstairs for the day. I was able to finish all the blocks for the Hidden Star. I had 10 of the 42 left to assemble.I had lots of company, of course! Sassy kept attacking my foot as I sewed. She liked the cord to the iron so that was a bit of a concern.
Finally she settled down and just watched from a safe distance. Tomorrow I can spend some time messing up the sewing room again. I will put the blocks into rows and then assemble the rows into a top. This quilt could easily be in the hoop as the mini is coming out! As for the RAD issues going on here, we will survive....at least I hope so!!!! I should take a cue from Sassy!

LOL Bren, sure seems like we had similar days. Callie doesn't want to be down where my feet are. Oh no! She wants to be right where all the action is. LOL Kevin just rolls his eyes, because I continue to fight with her, then just give in. LOL I don't think cats ever give up, do they? I am headed to bed. Hope things are better with Miss C. tomorrow. Praying for you and your daughter. I understand when things are stressful in the house, as you know. ;)

Looks like you got a lot done and hope it was good therapy. Hope tomorrow is a better day!

God bless you - Julie

it's amazing how working with your hands is good therapy for the mind and spirit. i feel the same way when i work with my jewelry. :) praying the rest of the week goes more smoothly for the RAD-ical element in your home. :)

Love,
Alesha

Praying, my friend. Praying! We have not had one of those days in a long, long time. Still does not make me forget the hurt and frustration of them.
