My new favorite bread recipe. WE LOVED IT!!!!
Savory Pull-Apart Rolls (one pound recipe)
3/4 cup milk
1 large egg
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 cups bread flour
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons sugar
3/4 teaspoon basil or thyme
1 1/2 teaspoons Yeast
Pull all ingredients in breadmaker in the order suggested by the manufacturer. Run machine on dough cycle. (Or combine bread ingredients in the usual way (I put all dry ingredients, including yeast, in mixing bowl and mix them together, then add wet ingredients one at a time, leaving heated milk or water till last. I used the hottest water from the tap or microwave milk for 2 minutes, then drizzle water in and mix...the yeast will rise well every time.)
If bread maker is used, first rising is already done at the end of the dough cycle, follow directions in the next paragraph. If not, allow dough to rise until at least doubled. Punch down and now move on to next paragraph.
Pull small balls off of dough, about the size of a golf ball, roll them in melted butter (about 3 tablespoons, melted) and place them in the bottom of a greased (I use cooking spray) bundt or ring pan. Do this until all dough is used up, first filling bottom of pan and then piling them on top of the bottom row. Allow to rise 20-30 minutes, until at least doubled, then bake in a 375 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool just for a minute or two on a wire rack, then invert onto a plate and remove the pan.

(I did not have a ring pan so I used an 8x8 square baking pan. Also, I added garlic powder to the melted butter to make it a garlic style bread since it was spaghetti night.)
Thanks Sue!!!!!
