I had the most incredible weekend with the grandkids. They were SO excited to be here. Emmie gets cuter and cuter and is talking like you would not believe. The postman brought a special package from Oklahoma which contained something special for Emerson.

My dear friend,
Linda, made Emerson this darling little top. The detail is gorgeous and it fits beautifully!!! Emerson was thrilled with it.

Also, the most precious little dress was included.

Emmie kept saying, "pwetty" and looking down at it as she walked. It is so sweet!!! You can not buy clothes like this!!!! The workmanship is gorgeous.
Linda also made the most beautiful dress for Charlotte.

It is lovely!! All those flowers around the white band at the bottom are fussy cut and stitched on. Purple ric rac is below that. Just gorgeous!!!! Charlotte loves it and all the garments fit the girls perfectly! Linda also enclosed matching handmade hair ribbons for Charlotte, which I forgot to take pictures of. I promise I will get them next time. Linda, your generous heart is such a blessing to my family. I know there is SO much work involved in these beautiful dresses and the intricate top, and I greatly appreciate it. (Linda knows I so want to make my girls dresses, but am not skilled enough)
Now I will wipe my eyes and show you all a few more pics of the kids. The sandbox is always a huge hit here.

Emerson can't get the lid off, but she sure does try hard! Daddy to the rescue!!!

Sand is fun!!!!

That is until you take your first big bite of it and Daddy has to dig it out of your mouth!

Poor Daddy has to keep his eyes on 2 at a time! He is doing really well at this single parent thing. I am very proud of him.

Let me tell you something about that little Emerson....the girl loves her food!!!
.JPG)
There is NOTHING she will not eat. She likes everything and will eat until it's gone. I gave her a toll house cookie for the first time.....she took a bite while I held it. You could see the eyes get big and the smile widen. I am not kidding, that girl ATTACKED me! She came at that cookie with both hands. Me, feeding her bites, was NOT going to do. Later that evening Paw Paw had a cookie and she spotted it. She got so excited and tickled that she was not able to contain herself. She was giggling out loud and running as fast as she could to get to him. Well, ok, not HIM, but the cookie!
TJ is not the eater that Emerson is, but he sure likes to help me in the kitchen. Every time he is here, he helps me prepare some part of the meal.
.JPG)
His little face is covered in freckles. Just like his Daddy and Paw Paw before him, he will look like a speckled pup all summer!
They got to spend some time with their Great Grandma this time.

TJ calls her "Old Grandma".....I am "New Grandma" when she is around. He was trying really hard to give a nice smile!!!

Neither one of them quite pulled it off, but they sure did enjoy each other!!!
It will be another 2 weeks before I see them again. *sigh* I am thankful for the time I do get to see them and they are always happy to come and sad to go. We are the place for them that is familiar and safe and I am honored to be that. In June we will have them for 10 days in a row, on top of our regular bi monthly time.....well, they will be with their Daddy for much of that time, but they will be just down the road and I can see them everyday if I want to....and you know I want to.
Well, that is all. I am planning to have a cleaning/sewing day....all that new eye candy fabric is cut up and waiting for an applique needle. Sweetheart is working at his mom's house today and we have testing in homeschool. Kyle is home for a "fun day", which I am sure will include spending more time with Sassy.

I give him one every once in a while as a reward for working so hard the other days. What is for dinner??? Maybe burgers on the grill.
Have a Blessed Week!!!Blessings, Bren

Glad you got the kids for the weekend. That little Emerson is gorgeous. Ya, Jak loves his food also. He never is a problem to feed...lol! Just about anything works for him. Looks like you all had a great weekend. It is nice that Kyle gets a fun day for work done well. Way to go Kyle!
Looks like Old Grandma and TJ are tuckered out from having such a good time. Cute photo of them together.
Have fun this week with your new fabric! :=) Many blessings, Karen
The girls' dresses are beautiful! What lovely work Linda does!
Your weekend with the grands must have been wonderful. They are gorgeous, and Bud is looking well, too.
Oh goodness, Bren, those dresses are beautiful. Linda is very creative and does a wonderful job. Love all the pictures. Our Izabella also loves her food. Noah only eats because he has to. It was pretty much the same with Ava and Ashton. Maybe girls just aren't as picky. (grin) I really love the last picture with Kyle and Sassy. He looks so happy playing with her. Have a great day. Winona
Your girls look gorgeous Bren, so glad the outfits were a good fit.
Bren~ the kids look so cute, love the shirt and the dresses, so nice of linda. You are lucky the grandkids like to eat. Mine don't eat at all, they take like one bite and say I'm full. Dylan just turned 6 and is only 37 pounds, healthy but small. Katie turned 3 in October and she is 27 pounds. She still wears a size 24 months in some things :)
Blessings,Joann
Oh Bren, I just love reading stories about all the kids. The outfits are just gorgeous!! Well Done Linda!!
