Brrrrrr

It was cold this morning~~~ok, so it wasn't that cold, but it sure felt like fall! No a/c all day and open windows and doors!
I am out of batteries for my camera. Too bad, cause I could have gotten so many good pictures over the last couple of days. I thought I would pull a couple of my old favorites of the grandkids to share. They spent the night with me last night. I had not seen them in a good 2 weeks. Yesterday they all moved back home. It was a great day! I love this pic of TJ....he was 2. This is what he looked like when I introduced you all to him 3 years ago over at Pieces From Me.
He starts kindergarten next week. *sigh* I can not imagine. He seems so little to me, yet. No, he is not going to be homeschooled. Bud and Rachel do not hold my same convictions, and I accept that, as I should. I pray a covering over him everyday! I kissed his little face a zillion times and cuddled him for a good 15 minutes this morning. It was heaven! (He is not a big cuddler)
Emerson was so much fun to play with. She is a chatterbox, who now calls me Ga-ma instead of SpongeBob.....finally!! This is my all time favorite pic of her.....
She picked me a handful of dandelions and said, "Here ya go" as plain as day. She loves to wear my shoes. I got some cuddle time in with her too. ;)
While I was looking for these pictures, I saw this pic of Sweetheart....my heart skips a beat whenever I look at it!Makes me wanna kiss em! 31 years of marriage and I am still head over heels....Those who knew us in high school are still reeling at the pairing. Who woulda thunk it? God did!!!

It has been a busy Monday. Charlotte made banana bread and I made a wonderful dinner. Steak, fried potatoes and onions and a nice green salad with tomatoes and green peppers from our garden. I am going to make my own salad dressing again and found a great recipe for my own homemade mayo. I will start my own homemade buttermilk again too. Homemade Ranch dressing is the best!!!
I am working diligently on the Hidden Star quilt. I laid it out to see where I was and my family was shocked at just how large a quilt it is. I am not even halfway finished. UGH! I will persevere!
Thanks for checking in! I am going to go kiss that Sweetheart! Have a blessed week!

Enjoyed looking at your "old" pics! ;) I'm glad TJ, Emerson, and their family are back home together. You're having cooler weather and we're having record highs - 94 today, and we don't have AC. It's been miserable, but it's supposed to be over on Thursday. One more day of not quite as hot, but still hot.

I know what you mean about the pic of your honey. There are some pics of mine that I look at and just swoon, and it's been almost 26 years! ;) Think I'll go kiss mine too! LOL

So thankful your kids are working it out! For them and for THEIR kids!! God is in the prayer answering business that is for certain.

My Maddie started first grade yesterday. She called me all excited about the new teacher and her new "best friend." They do grow up so fast.

Well, send some of that cooler temperature my way but not the snow...It still feels like 100 here..we had rain this morning which just made the humidity worse..
Praise that the little family is back together..I'm so glad they worked it out.
Blessings,
Mama Bear

Bren, so glad to hear that Bud, Rachel, TJ, and Emerson are a family again. It was cooler here today too. We had 60* this morning. Felt pretty good after the heat wave we were having. Supposed start warming up again, though. Have a great week. Winona
