Emerson was so thrilled with her new Veggie Tale Crocs. She took a nap in them!!!
They spent the night Friday, went with Daddy on Saturday and they all came for dinner today! The weather was beautiful. Sunday service was awesome and Sweetheart and I even had some alone time while Bud watched the kids for us. We ran to Kohls and Target and just hung together. The kids played outside all day.
Emerson wanted to ride Zach's scooter, so he adjusted it for her. Look at how excited she is....

It didn't take long before she was off and scooting!
It was such a blessing to spend the time with them. TJ started 1st grade and is such a big boy!
And, Emerson will be 3 in a couple of weeks. Goodness, do you all remember when she was born? It seems like yesterday.....
The guys broke the rim on the basketball hoop today. Funny how it took all 3 of them to put up a new one! Kyle made sure the job was done right!
Now a quick note regarding quilting. Tomorrow I should be (WILL be) done with the applique on the UGRR Sampler. I just need to add a final border and the top will be finished. I am buying the batting and backing on Tuesday and it should be in the hoop by the end of the week! I have enjoyed the applique so much I decided to pull out an old project. The Masterpiece Quilt.
I was stuck and frustrated on the peas sized pieces, but my determination is renewed. I plan to get block one finished and block two under way in short time. The next few blocks will be much less tedious!
We start school on Tuesday. It will be good to get to a normal schedule! Hopefully, that will mean a better blogging schedule too! See you soon, and have a wonderful Labor Day!

Bren, I am so glad you had a good weekend with the grandkids. We got a few things done this weekend, but been mostly relaxing. I thought I was done with my 36 patch quilt, but decided to add 12 more blocks. LOL That way I won't need a border. I laid it out for Kevin to see today and he liked it, so I need to get it done. He is home this week on vacation, so I probably won't get much sewing done. That Masterpiece quilt scares me. No way do I want to applique tiny pieces like that. (grin) It is looking great. Have a great Monday, my dear friend.
It's so much fun reading about your time with the kids (ya know I'm jealous LOL). That Kyle wouldn't even need a chair to reach the hoop, what a tall fellow he is.
I look forward to seeing your finished "Masterpiece" block, it looks really interesting :0)

I think your Emerson gets prettier with each picture you post!!and I LOVE the picture of your guys fixing the basketball hoop! You can tell that Kyle has everything under control!
Enjoy your sewing! I am still staying away from those pea sized applique!
Looks like it was a fun weekend for everyone Bren. I wondered what had happene with the masterpiece quilt, and giggle every time I think of our chat and your comment about the rapture...:)
I love this post! It's filled with all sorts of wonderful things...time with the grandbabies, time alone with your husband, quilting....wonderful stuff!!
They really have grown so much. I began reading your blog when TJ was a tot...
I don't know how it works for sleepovers with Grandmother now that Daughter is divorced...they each have their own schedule. So whose do I interrupt. The Princess still gets off the bus here on Tuesdays and we have that time together. We'll have to see. Holidays will be different this year.
Blessings,
Mama Bear
They sure have grown! I remember Emerson being born. Happy that you had a nice week-end with your grands.
So happy you had a good holiday weekend. The kids are sure getting big.
