Happy Birthday Emerson!!!

Today my granddaughter turns 3 years old. It is hard to believe all this time has past. I thought I would share a few things about Emerson. She is a unique little girl! She is a girly girl all the way, but is also a dare devil and has fear of NOTHING! Her favorite color is pink....the hotter the pink the better! Purple is a close second. I truly believe that one day she will want to learn to quilt. She is mesmerized by the entire process. No matter what I am doing...cutting, piecing, basting, or hand quilting, she is right there the entire time watching. If I am hand quilting she HAS to have a thimble on too! Even when she was tiny, in her walker, she would roll over and watch Grandma as I quilted.
Emerson has a big personality. She fills up a room and you can't help but fall in love with her. She can be shy, but not for long. The girl loves a Bible. Not a picture Bible, or kids Bible....it has to be the tissue-thin paged, red letter, BIBLE. She will turn the pages for EVER and never get bored with it. Last Saturday night we had a special service at church and she sat so nicely flipping through my purse Bible that I never even knew she was there. She did this for half an hour! In the car, she only needs her white Bible to be content with a long drive.She HATES having her picture taken. Most photos of Emerson are ones that are taken covert, or they are blurs as she runs the other way. When you get a good one, you know you got a treasure! This one is my favorite.....She is looking up at a portrait of Christ while singing a song and playing the piano. Her hair is a mess and she is unposed, but I can see her heart in this one!
She has the best friendship with her brother. They are very close!This girl LOVES her meals!!! She is so much fun to watch at meal times. Her favorite TV show is SpongeBob (at least at Grandma's house) and she loves to be outside. Her favorite thing in the world is "coloring"!
She has a small cleft in her chin....mine is not as delicate, but it is something we share.Most of the time Emerson is all smiles. She has a stubborn streak, which tells me she will be nobody's doormat! I see great sympathy in her also.She is loved by SO many and we are all blessed by her in countless ways. My heart swells at just the thought of this little girl!♫Happy 3rd Birthday Emerson Avery♫
