A Quilty Post

I finished the table runner top...it measures like 25X43. Not a tiny little runner.
I plan on...get ready....are you sitting down?...machine quilting this in the ditch. There is zero time to hand quilt it and it has so much going on, the hidden quilting will be enough. It will not go on my table....nope, I will have to make another one for me. I am putting it in a gift grab for Christmas.
Yesterday was Kyle's appointment with the blood specialist. Everything is just fine and with an adjustment in his medications, all will be well once again. I am praising God for that!
The mailman brought me 3 packages yesterday. One was from Winona. She made me this gorgeous wall hanging. It is beautifully hand quilted and I can see the love in every stitch. The back gives you a better idea of how heavily it is quilted. It hangs on the wall in my eating area, well seen from the kitchen and family room also. I just LOVE it! Thank you Winona!
Another package was from Debi. Debi makes pillowcases for the kids every season....I think all the seasons are covered now! This package contained Christmas cases. One for all of us!

The little gingerbread men are sweet. Kyle's case is different, but I didn't get a pic cause it was already on his pillow. He told me this morning, "I slept so much better with the pillow case Debi made me, Mom." heehee...gotta love that boy!
The next package was a box. I was from my real life friend Sue. It is actually a 50th birthday gift. I was stunned! It is a beautiful cover up sized quilt. It is such a pretty quilt...very feminine...totally "me". I used it last night as Sweetheart and I watched Survivor. She says she prayed for me with every stitch. Just look at that hand quilting.....So much texture. I just love it!!!
Thank you ladies, for making my day so special.
I have been quilting on TJ's sailboats. He had a change of heart when I told him how big the Rainbow quilt would be, and that he could have it when he had a bed big enough for it. When he said he wanted the boats, I told him I would "think about" giving the quilt to him....;) I have exactly 8 more stars to quilt on the red border and then I can get those waves on the outside border....those will go super fast! The stars are quite tedious and there are SO many of them. It takes about 15-20 minutes to do a star, so I should have no trouble getting those 8 done today....if Sass would move her large frame off the quilt! Thanks for visiting! I am thanking God for every remembrance of you all.

Oh, my goodness, Bren!! What beautiful gifts you received! You are greatly loved!!

I love your table runner. It's just gorgeous!

I had my son move my sewing machine into the house from my studio so I can try and get some quilting done. I haven't been up to it, so far, but I'm hoping with the back shot I got today, that soon I will be able to sit at the machine a few minutes at a time.

Thank you for sharing all those pics of those beautiful quilts!

Love, Julie

The BIG table runner is wonderful but my heart almost stopped over the shock that you are machine quilting it LOL. I know your machine quilting will be much better than mine :)

Wow such wonderful gifts!! You, my friend, are truly blessed.

Great news about Kyle's check up!!
