Chamomile has made herself at home here and we all adore her! Well, maybe not ALL of us adore her!

At first, Sassafras was TICKED OFF!! She was throwing fits and hissing and spitting and growling and even reverted to some infantile behaviors, such as getting in Emerson's bed!

For the most part, Cammy ignored Sassy's "show" and carried on exploring and playing.

I took her for her "well-baby" check and the vet gave her a clean bill of health. She is 1 pound 2 ounces and he is 99% sure she is a girl. She is eating great and I am giving her a little kitty formula as a supplement.

She is using the litter box and finally "covering" her deeds. The first time she used it, Sass was right there watching. Cammy peed and jumped out leaving her puddle on top of the litter. Sass went over, smelled it, gave Cam a look of disgust and reached in and covered it up and then walked away! It was the funniest thing! (the girls have their own boxes)

Until just this morning, Sassy has been on high alert. Always watching and wanting to know where Cammy is.

Though she is still hissing softly and batting (no claws) at Cam, she has figured out Chamomile is not going to hurt her and that no matter how dramatic she gets, this kitten is NOT intimidated by her!

Sassy has even relaxed enough to enjoy a bit of time at the window....though she still kept her eyes on Cammy, who is SO playful and entertaining, she is a treat to watch!

I didn't get the pic, but at this point Sassy jumped out and took one bat at Cammy and then ran. She SO wanted to play with Cam, but just was too afraid yet. Soon, I am sure. Sass is getting LOTS of extra attention from all of us in an effort to be certain she does not feel left out. She has taken full advantage of that, and anytime Cammy is held or played with, she comes running knowing she will get some attention too. I am so excited for the day when she realizes she has a sister and a friend, and stops giving me that evil look that says, "I'll get you for this!".

Ah Bren, good luck with this. They will be best friends soon. It will just take time. Sassy has to realize that Cammy is not going anywhere. Also that they can have lots of fun together. Hopefully you will survive in the mean time. LOL Have a good one.
This so reminds me of when we got Mocha - our Yorkie - last year. My little Teddy (a yorkie-poo and a total momma's boy) was so peeved that this girl was in HIS house. I thought he'd never like her! It took longer than expected (a couple of months actually) but now they play and snuggle together and are SO entertaining. They will get there! :) Have fun in the process! :)
By the way - did you get that key chain yet? How are you doing? Don't give up! Don't let the frustration get the best of you!
Focus on one day at a time and one weeks goal at a time - not the big goal.
We can do this Bren! :)
Oh my gosh, what a cutie pie Cammy is! Oh course, Sassy is beautiful! Don't you just love watching a kitten...they are so funny and do the silliest things. Don't worry...Sassy is warming up and pretty soon they are going to be playing together, washing each other, and will be inseparable!
XOXO,
Cyndi
Poor Sassy! I don't blame her for wanting to know where Cammy is all the time. Kittens can be so psychotic! I'm glad they're slowly settling in :)
